SBI offers cash back to encourage debit card use - Economic Times

MUMBAI: India's biggest debit entry entry card
issuer State Depository Financial Institution Group on Wednesday launched a strategy to honor clients with
cash back to increase debit card usage. Under the scheme, Cash Back
Plus Offer, clients using SBI or its Associate Banks' debit entry card game for making
payments of Rs 501 or above volition acquire a hard cash back of up to 5 per cent, SBI Chief
General Director Narayanan Raja told newsmen here. The maximum
amount of hard hard cash back per debit entry card during the offering will be Rs 1,000, he said,
adding that those clients who utilize the card to do payments of Rs 501 or more
for 15 or more than than modern times during this time period will also gain 20 per cent of the cash
back as bonus. The offering is valid from August 1 to October 31. Raja
said that every twenty-four hours first two peak Spenders will win two tax return Air Deccan
tickets each. State Depository Financial Institution Group have issued 26 million debit entry cards. It
has a web of 7,100 ATMs, which it bes after to increase to 10,000-15,000, Raja
added. "The growing of debit entry and recognition card game have got surpassed all
expectations and there is an explosive growing in ATMs," Raja said. The grouping have entered into an understanding with North American Indian Railways to set
a big web of ATMs on all of import railroad stations, he added.
