Surveillance Tape Catches Credit Card Thieves

FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Police are looking for two work force and a adult female who used stolen recognition card game to purchase beer, cigarets and wellness nutrient points in separate incidents at supplies in Franklin, Danville and Avon, police force said.

A adult male bought more than than $500 worth of picture games and other points at the Wal-Mart shop in Franklin. An accomplice, a heavy-set adult male in glasses, and the man who used the card, base poised in a race against clip with the unsuspicious victim.

"By the clip the victim even recognizes the card is even missing, there are people out there disbursement 100s of dollars on the victim's recognition card," said Sgt. Uncle Tom Kern, of Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana.

The lawsuit began at a Circle Kelvin gas station in November, where the victim left her recognition card in the gas pump.

Six proceedings later, the suspects used the card to purchase $36 worth of gasoline, police force said. Twenty-three infinitesimals later, the card was used to purchase $88 worth of spirits at different stores.

In five hours, more than than $700 worth of deceitful complaints were racked up on the card.

"People necessitate to recognize that if person is bold adequate to take your card and stand for themselves as you in the store, they're not afraid to strike hard out your auto window," Jerome Kern said. "That glass is not going to halt person from getting into your billfold or your bag in that car."

In another recent recognition card fraud case, a victim had her auto broken into at the Chili's eating house in Franklin.

A adult female (pictured, right) used the card to purchase almost $700 worth of items, including $119 on cigarets at a gas station on Indianapolis' South side.

"From most of the lawsuits that I've seen, the victims have got been able to work it out with their creditors," Jerome Kern said. "In the end, we all wind up paying for that with our purchases."

Police asked anyone with information about either lawsuit to name Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
